Syrian forces open fire on 50,000 protesters in Hama
Syrian forces opened fire Friday on a crowd of some 50,000 demonstrators who flooded the streets of the city of Hama, causing an unknown number of casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
Security forces unleashed “intense gunfire” against protesters, said Rami Adel Rahman, who heads the London-based rights group.
