As you will have heard by now, the Senate vote to eliminate subsidies to Big Oil failed. While the bill is supported by the majority of the Senate, Big Oil’s cronies in the Senate used the oldest tactic in the book — they filibustered the bill and prevented it from being voted on in an up or down vote. We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the tragic stories of loss and heartbreak stemming from the Midwest tornadoes. Our thoughts are with our fellow Americans who are struggling to rebuild.
