Has the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION failed to enable the American Press to do its job?

I was listening to this interview on Youtube just now, "Social Media Frees 'Democracy Now!' from Arrest" by Amy Goodman. It was recorded in 2009.

Since then there has been an unprecedented attack on reporters and whistleblowers under the Obama administration. More reporters or their sources have been indited for treason than at any time in USA history.
