CHILD LABOR IN MISSOURI?

I came across this Facebook page on STOP CHILD LABOR IN MISSOURI. Are the facts straight and who is running the campaign?--KAS

CHILD LABOR IN MISSOURI
Big corporations spent hundreds of thousands to get politicians like State Sen. Jane Cunningham elected in Missouri. Now, we know why. Cunningham recently introduced SB 222, which would drastically reduce Missouri’s child labor laws.

Under 14? Not a problem! In addition to lifting the ban on employment of children under fourteen, children under sixteen would now be allowed to work in any capacity in a motel, resort, or hotel as long as they’re given somewhere to sleep. Businesses that employ children wouldn’t even have to undergo special inspections.

One in six children worldwide don’t get up in the morning and go to school – they go to work. We won’t let this happen in Missouri.

Join our campaign to let kids be kids and stop child labor in Missouri.
