MANY OF THEM DON’T PAY TAXES ANYWAY
Dear Kevin,
On Friday, Republicans in the House passed a budget that will eliminate Medicare, gut Medicaid, and give tax breaks to the wealthy. As President Obama pointed out in his speech, Republicans want to give a wealthy CEO a tax break that’s paid for by “33 seniors each paying $6,000 more in health costs.”
This budget isn’t right and it isn’t fair. This is a radical Republican reversal of vital programs to protect our seniors. And it doesn’t stop there. They also lower taxes on the corporations that are hoarding their profits, and many of them don’t pay taxes anyway.
