Forbes Magazine Puts out Fascist and Anti-American blogs–Just look at the evil and nonsensical attack on the wonderful People’s Budget

http://blogs.forbes.com/erikkain/2011/04/08/progressive-democrats-release-the-peoples-budget/

Apparently, the right wing corporate extremists who are already fearing the new People’s Budget’s possible success (in implementation with the 2012 elections) can only lament the fact that the budget wants to bring USA troops home. Then the complaints get more skewed or screwy. The Blog (link above) from Forbes could have been written by Rupert Murdoch and other Ignore-What-THE-PEOPLE-WANT.( It makes me sick. I warn you!)

If some of you missed it, finally, a real good American Budget Plan was set up that doesn’t take big knives mostly to the poor while failing to raise taxes to make and build the USA into a real country, again. (Here is the news release.)–KAS

The People’s Budget
Progressive Caucus People’s Budget FY12 Memorandum

Eliminates National Deficit by 2021

Progressive Caucus co-chairs Raúl M. Grijalva and Keith Ellison sent a memo to House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen April 6 outlining the Caucus’ top budget priorities. The letter and attached budget information are available at this link.

The CPC proposal:

• Eliminates the deficits and creates a surplus by 2021
• Puts America back to work with a “Make it in America” jobs program
• Protects the social safety net
• Ends the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
• Is FAIR (Fixing America’s Inequality Responsibly)

What the proposal accomplishes:

• Primary budget balance by 2014.
• Budget surplus by 2021.
• Reduces public debt as a share of GDP to 64.4% by 2021, down 16.9 percentage points from
a baseline fully adjusted for both the doc fix and the AMT patch.
• Reduces deficits by $5.7 trillion over 2012-21
• Both outlays and revenue equal 22.3% of GDP by 2021

Jeffrey Sachs, director of The Earth Institute at Columbia, and famous economist went on DEMOCRACY NOW earlier this week. He made it clear: “Then there’s a new proposal that the Congressional Progressive Caucus put forward last week. Terrific. It’s called the People’s Budget. It actually responds to what the people want, and that is, raise taxes on the rich, raise taxes on the corporations that are getting away with absolute unbelievable—unbelievably abusive loopholes, cut military spending, preserve spending for the poor, for education, for investment and so forth.”

Group Applauds Congressional Progressive Caucus for “True Courage” with People’s Budget
Links to New “Tax Wealth Like Work” Campaign
WASHINGTON – April 8 – “We applaud the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) for taking real leadership this week,” stated Brian Miller, executive director of United for a Fair Economy (UFE). “The CPC’s letter outlines a truly courageous budget framework that does what Congress has thus far been unwilling to do – raise taxes on the rich.”

“It’s hard to imagine what is going through the mind of Rep. Ryan, who seems intent on making working Americans, seniors, and the poor shoulder the burden of today’s deficit,” said Miller. “This is especially outrageous, considering our budget hardships were caused in large part by tax cuts for the rich and unfunded wars.”

Some of the key elements outlined in the Congressional Progressive Caucus letter include a progressive estate tax, increasing income taxes on those with incomes over one million a year, and restoring taxes on capital gains and dividend income to the same level as ordinary income. “These are all great steps forward – steps that show true courage.”

UFE’s Responsible Wealth project is launching a “Tax Wealth Like Work” campaign in the coming days that relates directly to one of the Congressional Progressive Caucus recommendations: Taxing income earned from wealth – capital gains and dividends – at the same rate as income earned from work.

As part of the new “Tax Wealth Like Work” campaign, high-wealth individuals are calculating the tax savings they receive from the reduced rate on capital gains and dividends, and pledging to give all or a portion of that away to groups working to restore fairness to our tax system. Additional elements of the campaign will include an interactive tax calculator, video testimonials from taxpayers at different income levels, and other online resources and educational material.
