AFRICA TEACHING
By or about my friend Marc Becker, a pioneer educator
Here is the website of my fellow world peace maker, historian, advisor, and traveler.

Marc Becker, who taught last autumn at a university in Ghana for a University of Missouri program. (He is now back in Truman State University preparing students for a trip to Panama.)
Prof Marc, a Latin American specialist, recently put up a commemorative site with the HISTORIANS AGAINST WAR. It commemorates a literary and social history hero of ours who passed away last week.

[Other sites on Zinn from Germans, include: http://www.labournet.de/internationales/usa/zinn.html ]
I had sent Marc a photo of crocodiles up on a road in Florida. They were surrounding a sign that told bicyclers to bicycle in the far right lane. (One other viewer of the photograph claimed that the live crocs must have put up a sign like that for themselves.) As I passed the photo on to Marc, I wrote: “You’ll bust a gut and want to print this photo out.”
March responded, “Not if this were Paga.” And he sent me this link, which I will share with you:

It is from his work last autumn teaching and leading a study abroad program for students in Missouri in Ghana. Paga is in the National Park Mole on the border with Burkina Faso. (Click on that site above and scroll down to October 11. There are several YouTube videos to see.)
In Paga are all kinds of monkeys, apes, hippos, elephants, and—crocs. The crocodiles there have a SACRED POND. Go up and hung one if you get a chance to go to Paga.
Marc, why didn’t you pick up that mama or big baby croc?
