Too Many Don't Know Much about Geography

By Kevin Anthony Stoda

Lots of Americans were hoodwinked by the global-warming- naysayers because they and the naysayers both have really studied geography most of their adult lives. (Obviously, as children they simply crammed for exams--and then forgot what they learn-- or did not do well.) However, Americans aren't the only mental geographic and demographic global losers.

GLOBAL CITIZENS NEED TO LEARN GEOGRAPHY IN ORDER TO SURVIVE IN THE 21ST CENTURY

By Kevin Stoda, Philippines

I think a lot of Americans were hoodwinked by the global-warming- naysayers because they and the naysayers both have really studied geography most of their adult lives. (Obviously, as children they simply crammed for exams--and then forgot what they learn-- or did not do well.)

Last month, I twice hear Filipinos claiming that their homeland, the Philippines, has the 4th largest population in the world. Later, I read the same outright WRONG belief stated as fact by one of the editorials in a major Filipino paper.

NUMBER 12

Here are the facts about global population and how the Philippines fits in: PHILIPPINES, I was surprised to learn, was number 12 on the list. (I thought is was much further back.) The list below is from Wikopedia.

Not only are Filipinos bad in geography, but so are about 4 in 5 people on the planet. I think there might be a lot less wars and racism if people new their history and geography better. Don't you?
